This policy can pay up to a maximum aggregate of £2000 following the successful settlement of your Lifestyle insurance claim.
How can I purchase this insurance?
This can be done on the telephone or on-line using either a credit or debit card.
Is this a one off or annual payment?
All premiums are single one off payments. There are no facilities for monthly payments.

In this case Excess protection would reimburse you the £500 meaning you are not out of pocket.
(Subject to you selecting a high enough annual cover limit, you may wish to select a higher amount than your stated excess to cover multiple claims)

YES, provided they are covered to drive the vehicle on your fully comprehensive policy and over the age of 18 years old and a UK resident.
Can I transfer my policy to another vehicle?
Whose name should this policy be in?
The policy should always be in the name of the first named person on your Motor, Home, Travel, Health or Pet insurance.
Why would this insurance policy not pay out?

When the excess on your main insurance policy is not exceeded. Where no appropriate insurance is held, fraud or when the aggregate claims reach your policy limit.
How does the price promise work?
Direct Excess insurance promises to beat the price of any comparable Excess Protect insurance policy in the event a lower quotation is gained from elsewhere. This will be subject to Direct Excess confirming the lower quotation and policy terms and conditions.
Do I still need motor, home, travel, health or pet insurance?
Yes, Lifestyle is a supplement and not a replacement for these policies.
When and how do I receive my policy document?
You will receive you policy documentation by e-mail after making your payment.

We have made the process as easy as possible, we even give you the option to have the money paid into your account or we can issue a cheque for you.

You will be able to complete this claim form online. Alternatively please call the claims administrator on 0844 854 1498 to notify Your claim with them.
Once you have received communication confirming your claim number from the claims administrator you should send the following;
1. A copy of the acknowledgement letter received from the claims administrator
2. A copy of your Lifestyle Excess Protect Certificate of Insurance or Confirmation of Coverage document
3. You must provide a copy of your settlement letter from your Main Insurance Policy insurer, which must state the amount settled and the Excess deducted
